When I’ll be young

I’ve been photographing my friends since 2017, from film to digital. With this project, I started collecting photos and working in series for the first time. When I was a child, I used to say to my father: “When I’ll be young”, I’ll be able to do this or that. It was very paradoxical because I was already very young, but in my childhood imagination, I had a certain image of what it was like to be young by seeing teenagers older than me driving, hanging out, drinking alcohol and so on…With this very long-term project, I’m confronting my childhood imagination with reality by chronicling my youth, somewhere between portrait and caricature.
